The Newport Restoration Foundation, a museum and preservation organization in Newport, RI is seeking a qualified applicant to join our Grounds and Gardens Crew, at our oceanfront Rough Point museum. This role provides year round maintenance of the ground and facilities of historic properties with the ability to work in a variety of inclement weather conditions. NRF is seeking a Field Carpenter to contribute to the organization’s dynamic and growing Preservation Department. This position will assist with restoration and routine repair and maintenance of NRF’s collection of over 80 18th– and 19th-century houses, the majority of which are rented to residential or commercial tenant stewards. The Field Carpenter will serve as part of a larger Preservation Crew composed of five carpenters and four painters, all overseen by the Preservation Crew Supervisor.

This position will be based primarily at Rough Point Museum and will work with collections housed at Rough Point and at offsite storage.

The stage crew is responsible for the efficient execution of all performance production and logistics, which in turn ensures that our audiences have safe and pleasant experiences while attending our concerts. The Festival includes 29 performances held at 11 unique venues located primarily in Newport with additional venues in Middletown & Bristol.
