Founded in 1991 as an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Newport Public Education Foundation, Inc. (NPEF) has been dedicated to the nurturing and enhancing the learning of Newport Public Schools students. NPEF works in partnership with the Newport Public Schools to explore educational opportunities for children not funded through the school budget. Since it start over thirty years ago, NPEF activities today continue to take the form of Teacher, School and Community Enrichment Grants.
