RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE

A 3 year minimum of retail experience or proven customer service experience is required. As a Sales Associate at Wag Nation, your role is instrumental in enhancing the experiences of dogs and their pet parents through our diverse range of products and services. By becoming well-versed in canine health, nutrition, and dog behavior, you position yourself as a trusted expert that customers rely on. You'll be the first and last point of contact for our customers—whether face-to-face, over the phone, or through email—and your goal is to provide an outstanding customer experience every time. In retail, creating meaningful connections is essential, and ensuring that each customer leaves happier than when they arrived is vital to Wag Nation’s success. This customer-centric mindset influences your interactions, strategies, and decisions, driving you toward success in this role.

*High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions accurately using the cash register and handle cash with care.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized store environment.
• Utilize basic math skills for inventory management and sales reporting. Comfortable with technology & Software.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and promote store promotions.
• Maintain a clean and safe shopping area for customers.
• Experience with pets/animals a plus.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Must be able to make quick and educated decisions
• Subject to lifting up to 40+ lbs and standing, stooping, bending and walking for long periods of time. Uniform shirts will be provided and are required wear.

Schedule: PartTime/Full time Hours (weekends and holiday shifts).
